Happy Holidays!

Well I tell you, the last month has truly been insane. Don't believe me? Some good things happened...I went to New Kids on the Block. Some bad things happened...I popped out a rib and ended up in the ER. Who knew you could bend over funny, pop out a rib and therefore sprain all the muscles? It sucks let me tell you. But the doctor gave me some great pain killers. And a needle in my rear end...but lets leave that for another day.

Beyond all that stuff I'm getting pretty excited for Christmas. Usually I'm all "Bah Hum Bug" and I don't get into until the day before but this year...rib pain or not...I'm all ready for it. My presents have been bought and I'm counting down the days.

Oh and in two weeks I'm going to be 27 years old. Can you believe it? I'm going to officially be in my late 20's. I thought the good died young!

And now on to what you came here for...photos!

Who doesn't love sychronized dancing? Especially when New Kids on the Block are doing it.

Do we look like sisters? Seriously though we had a lot of fun. Hell I had an absolute blast with my girls. It was worth every penny it cost me. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Our Christmas tree! It's only a little one as I had gotten rid of all my other decorations. They reminded me of a time in my life that is dead and buried. Another story for another time, but since my roomie and I both spend Christmas with our families we didn't see the need for a big tree. This one is perfect. And pretty. And small enough to keep up and away from the cat.

All lit up it isn`t half bad.

Holy Crap! Victoria got snow...and it's still here 4 days later. More is on the way. Can you believe that? We might actually have a white Christmas! What? I live on the West Coast right?

Oh and a minor pet peeve. I had to go shopping for snow boots...I walk and take the bus, runners aren't going to work in this weather. And my feet were freezing. So yeah there were about 23 styles of really cute/pretty/"oh my God who would wear those boots?"...and about 2 pairs of them actually had tred on them. Yes they all looked warm but you couldn't actually wear them in the snow without falling on your ass. Not like I need any help in that department. Of course, I forgot that once the snow falls all the burly men come out of the woodwork and sweep you off your feet...therefore walking isn't actually necessary.

No actually...that is my fantasy land. In the real world I walk. In rain. In sun. In snow. Thankfully I found a good pair, nothing flashy but not ugly. And they keep my feet warm. Can a girl ask for more?

Well she could ask for those burly men but I am a realist.

Life is Good

Well everyone...another post. Do you feel lucky? Well...do yah? Yes that shall be my only cheezy movie line rip off this post.
So lots has gone on over the last couple of weeks. First it was Halloween, which meant dressing up as "something" while at work. Last year I went as a doctor which was a hit but this year I was sick so I didn't want to put too much effort into anything. Therfore my lack of effort made me a LadyBug.

And yes that is a princess crown at my desk at work. No that wasn't for Halloween, I just like to wear it every so often and be Queen of the office. I know you're jealous.

After Halloween was little thing called the American elections. As much as I hate to admit it I followed this election more then I followed the Canadian one. Yes I voted, I watched the debates etc but we all know this election was far more important. I was elated when Obama won, mostly because I didn't think it would actually happen. So my faith in parts of man kind have been restored.

And if you wanted McCain to win...well...I'm sorry?
Some exciting news...I am the best sister on the planet. Why? Oh I'll tell you.

Now there is this little band, you may have heard of them, they call themselves New Kids on the Block. Well this man band is coming to Vancouver and damn if myself and my girl Deedee didn't want to go. However a lack of funds on our part prevented us from getting tickets. Meanwhile I work in an office all day, and office with various radios (including one on my desk) that play the same station all day long. That station...The Ocean. Now I have nothing AGAINST this radio station, I just don't listen to it, unless I have to. Which I do. 8 hours a day. 5 days a week. Damn. I may hate Celine Dion but I still end up singing along to all her songs. Because I know all the words. Because they play her. A LOT!

However the station has this VIP club where you enter in codes blah blah and earn points. Points to be used to win prizes. As something to do at work (you know, other then working and wearing a crown) I joined and had amassed a large quantity of points. They happened to have a draw of NKOTB tickets so I decided I was going to win some. That's right, for once the world was going to smile at me and give me something for free. I demanded it.
I entered that draw 105 times. 105. Those tickets were as good as ours, I kept Dee updated on how it was going. We couldn't lose.

Just one problem. We did. Yes that's right. Irony of ironies my friend Abbie won them (she only entered once, and really just wants to see the opening acts. I love her but UGH!). Now this made me angry...because me and Deedee were supposed to go see them. It was meant to be. I knew, I just knew that we were meant to go.

So what can a girl do? A girl can pull out her credit card, say charge it and buy herself and her two sisters (Serena gets to come too!) tickets to see these boys on stage. Like I said we were meant to go, and who am I to deny fate?

This Friday I don't have to work. All I have to do is catch a ferry, figure out Vancouver Transit to get to Serena's house, doll myself up and get my groove thing on. This may be hard as I'm sure I'll have to fan Dee throughout the whole day so she doesn't faint or go into hysterics. I promise to post some pictures because I have no doubt we're going to have a blast. And that Dee will cry!

Beyond that not too much else to tell. Oh wait...I got new glasses. Two new pairs of glasses. I'm as blind as ever but at least I get to look fashionable while doing so. I don't have any pictures of me in them but once I do you'll get to see them.

So I leave you with some random yet enjoyable photos. Until next time my pretties.

This is me and some of my old school highschool buddies out for Abbie's birthday a few weeks ago. Abbie is the one in white, she hadn't won the tickets yet at this point hence why I am not strangling her.

I don't actually remember this photo being taken but I think it's cute.

Erin and I were driving on the weekend and saw this on the back of a large truck. A picture had to be taken.

I lied...this is one of the new pairs of specs I got. And Erin. And me!

The Bitch Is Back

MY PEOPLE!

Hey all, I'm back. And yes I know I've said that before but this time I mean it. How can you be sure? Why should you trust me after I have let you down time and time again? Simple. I bought a digital camera yesterday. FINALLY!

Now everyone that knows me knows that I am camera happy. I take other peoples cameras and snap like a mad fool. Now that I have one of my own there will be no stopping me.

So since I've written last so much has changed. I moved into a new place complete with a roommate and a cat. I cut off all my hair and went dark...or as Chris would say...I've turned emo. I got a new tattoo. And there is much more in the works, and you'll hear all about that as it happens.

And now, for the visuals.

This is Small Cat. Yes that is his name. He's Stacey's cat (my roommate) and he's a little shit. However, we have a very love hate relationship...as in we love to hate each other. We're growing on each other.
This is Stacey. We work together at VIHA and moved in together in August. She's pretty fantastic (and pretty pretty). here she is making a card for her boyfriend. She's cool like that.

This is our apartment. It's still not all together and we're planning on re-arranging the whole place in the next week or two. It's a basement suite below another co-worker of ours. Our landlords are great.

Proof that I have girlie things in my house. Like flowers. Well Stacey works at a florists so we usually have flowers around the house.

Hey look...it's me!

Well folks that all I have for now. But Halloween is around the corner, so I'm sure I'll have something to share.

And yes I missed you too ;)

One of those days

Okay so a few weeks ago I noticed that my vacuum wasn't working very well. I'd run it over obvious dirt and it would pick up some but leave most of it on the ground. Honestly being busy I left it, that is until it became CLEAR vacuuming needed to happen if I wanted to have any living soul in my home. I checked the brushroll but that was working so I figured I just needed to clean my filter. Sitting on the floor, a small garbage can between my legs, and the filter in my hands I used some tools to clear out all the dust lodged in the filter. I was resiliant...I did it for an hour...taking one smoke break and mostly watching Colin and Justin's Home Heist on HGTV. But when there was a commercial I was diligent.

I think took my time cleaning it up...one never thinks to clean the vaccum do we? So now the vacum is gleaming red and ready to rumble. This time I can feel the amount of air being sucked in...it sounded a thousand times better but still STILL it would not suck up the obvious dirt.

I took another smoke break, staring at my machine through the glass doors. In my head I thought of a million different options...ways I could take it apart and put it back together again. Heck I was even trying to think how I (a girl who can break anything) managed to wreck a perfectly nice upright hepa filter vacum with attached hose (and all those weird attachments that I don't know are used for)...had I managed to kill a vacuum only a year old?

So I sat down and started poking...thinking I'm missing something...but what? Finally giving up and I put my head in my hands and laughed. It was broken. And I've learned its best to laugh at the "bad" stuff. While laughing I look up and see a dial (a dial I don't think I knew was there) on the back of the vaccum...a dial that you turn between "Floor" and "Hose". What was the dial turned to?

Hose.

Since I have only used the hose suction on the vacuum a few times I'd forgotten it was there...and must have not changed it over the last time I used it.

I think "There is no way it could be that easy." but I turned the dial and started her up. HURRAH! Life!

So now my house is clean and I'm laughing at myself. I figured you could have a laugh too.

Because we have all been there...

...this guy is too funny for words. Yes it's just more YouTube videos...but it would have been wrong not to share. Note there is some swearing in these so maybe a little NSFW.

The Easter Bunny Cometh.

Hello Everybody!

Life is insane but I'm working for that 4 day weekend on the horizon. In the meantime check this video out...

Wanted to share.

I am a girl...this means that I am moody. Okay not so much moody as emotional. Or maybe more of a feeler then others. Anyway sometimes I get in moods, or funks if you will. I find the only thing to get me out of it is a good cry and maybe some booze but always always music. For me beautiful music can make the darkest day seem so much brighter.

Wanted to share some that have given some light recently by simply making me think, smile or tap my foot along with it. Life is not bad...it just is. I find most of these by hearing a few lyrics in the backround of a tv show and then doing some google magic. Hope you enjoy.

Hope all is well.

And just for fun....

I have the same birthday as Joey. True story.

You think Spice Girls made big money...0h man...just you wait.

What girl could forget "Hanging Tough", "The Right Stuff" and "This One's For the Children". I'll never forget my New Kids PJ's, man I loved those things. I remember being so jealous of Deedee's NKOTB quilt....oh yeah...the skeleton's are out of the closet now. Seriously though, it'll be interesting to see what they do and how welcoming the fans around the world will be. I'm really just surprised they brought Danny back....was he anybody's favourite? I personally had a thing for Jonathan. Yeah I know.

If they go on tour I'll have to see if I can convince some people to go with me. The question is "Are you tough enough?"

Sincere.

Well hello all. Yes I know, it's like I fell off the face of the planet again. But no I am here, and alive.

It's been an interesting couple of months that's for sure. Work was nuts with end of year jobs, Christmas was chaos, then I turned the big 26 (don't remind me) and the world rang in 2008. After that I was sick, only to get sicker with some virus and a kidney infection. However Shauna is starting to feel human again. Therefore I thought I would share with everyone. Sure it took till February for me to update but I do what I can.

In my time illness I haven't been able to do much, watching lots of TV and playing around on the computer. Due to the writers strike there hasn't been much to watch other then my main men Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Now I can't say that I'm a political person, I have my views no doubt, I like to be informed before I vote (and I always vote) but it's Canadian poltics. I think times would have to get a lot harder for us before anything drastic happens.

So last night when my friend Erin and I started talking about the state of the world. Naturally discussion turned to our evil twin brother to the south USA. I fear greatly I must say for the state of that nation and the ripple affect it's destruction of economy will have on other nations of this world. However after talking about it I decided to look into it and low and behold I read something that gave me a hint of hope that maybe Americans can turn their car around and head back to humanity. That is, if one man can truely be political and sincere at the same time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjXyqcx-mYY

I highly recommend checking out this link, a music video of supports of Barack Obama's inspired by his 'Yes We Can' speech. The speech can be read below. Happy Days!

It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation.
Yes we can.
It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail toward freedom.
Yes we can.
It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness.
Yes we can.
It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the ballots; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land.
Yes we can to justice and equality.
Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity.
Yes we can heal this nation.
Yes we can repair this world.
Yes we can.
We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change. We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics...they will only grow louder and more dissonant . We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope. But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.
Now the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in the American story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea.
Yes. We. Can.

Ohhhhh shiny.

Yes I know...no updates.

I'm suprised (and happy) that you all haven't given up on me yet. I'm such a bad blogger but I don't have any cute kids (here or on the way), I don't live anywhere exciting and dammit nothing exciting ever happens to me. I'm more boring then Seinfeld...oh wait you liked that show? Ummm....moving on.

However today was a different day because today I got a shiny new phone.

Ohhhhh....ahhhhhh.

Well I like it anyway...it has many toys and attachments that I don't know how to use. The manual is written in english (or at least I assume it to be english) but I think I would find the french version just as useful. The buttons are touch screen which make me feel high-tech and geekified. Yes that's a word. Or if it isn't I just made it up. Either way...cool phone.

But what do I like the most about it? It's not 3 years old. My older phone was starting to look like it should be covered in dust and found in a egyptian tomb. 3 years old...I mean back then no one had ipods. I know!!! A world with no ipods is a world with no ipod commercials which I find to be pure art (I especially enjoy them when partaking in some of BC's own). I mean the graphics just blow your mind, I mean Bono wont just do a commercial for anybody. Well not any company...any charity yes...company no.

Has that guy won a nobel prize yet? I mean he's got the grammy's, the quadrouple selling platinum albums and I'm pretty sure he has an Oscar. I say we make him president of the world and be done with it. Wait...is Bono the antichrist?

Ohhh man that was off topic. So yeah...new phone. Pretty. I will update again soon. And don't worry, Bono isn't the antichrist. I know...trust me. It's totally J-Lo.

And here's a little picture to remind us how far that little wireless gem has come.

Possible captain's to go with this photo:

"No this is not Macgyver's phone, stop calling me!"

"What makes me sexy? It's simple, the cleft chin and my new car smell cologne."

or my personal favourite

"Dave's not here man."

Happy 28th Birthday Deedle!!!!!!

It's that time of year again...and by that time of year I mean August. My whole life August has meant one thing...Diana (Deedee) Marie Neumerschitsky's birthday. It was and is a day to be remembered, cherished and most certainly celebrated. Don't you agree?

Now I though about compiling a list of pictures of Dee but then I realized one thing...she hates pictures of herself. Why someone who looks like her would think that way I will NEVER understand, but it's her day and I plan to abide by her rules. Therefore I have compiled something else instead...pictures of things that make me think of my darling sister and why I'm thankful she was born. Let's get this party started shall we? Aight.

The Party "Animal"

Deedee was born to party harder, smarter and better then you. It's a fact. She'll drink you under the table, catch the eye of the hottest guy at the party, dance the night away and some how have all the girls there wanting to be her friend. When I think about partying I think my "animal" of a sister better be there and I better make sure she's got some Jack Daniels on hand to satisfy her thirst. If not I'm not going to have any fun and neither is anybody else there.

Tattoos

It's not just ink...it's art. Whether it's to symoblize her friendships or her daughter she's rocking it on at least half the planes of her body. She makes no apologies and shows them off with pride. Watching her get a dragonfly done on her back inspired me to finally get some ink for my own. Sure it's not even a quarter of the size...but I only have a quarter of her cool.

Hockey/Canucks/Trevor Linden

Deedee can talk hockey shop with the best of them, she'll debate offense vs defense and as long as it's good for her team then it's good for her. Her love for the Vancouver Canucks is only surpassed by her love for Mr. Canuck himself, Trevor Linden. Look at the man...can you blame her? Thank God they signed him for another year or Deedee might have broken Nonis's legs. Oh and I double dog dare you to tell her you're a Flames fan...come on...do it.

Pop Culture

If it's popular culture then you best be knowing that my girl knows it. I love that I can call her and debate Angelia vs Jennifer, what Lohan is up to now and the latest hollywood spawn. She's got a handle on music, movies, books, television shows and all things that are worth remembering. Some people think it's a waste of time, Dee understands its about knowledge of the people. Also my girl get's Entertainment Weekly...by far the best magazine ever produced. Even better... she lets me have it when she's done.

Last...but obviously not least...

Emma

Deedee is Mom to one of the most beautiful human beings ever produced. Being Mom is just one of the spectrums of her personality but one of the parts I am the most proud of her for. Emma has brought nothing but joy, laughter and love into my life and I cannot imagine having that little voice calling me "Auntie Shauna". Yes that girl is the best of both her parents and it shows on her face. But when she giggles, when her dimples flash, when she posses for the camera or when she's giving me her "I'm soooo not impressed with you face" I swear I'm seeing her mother 20 years ago. It a amazes me that there could actually be two woman that cool on the planet and that I get to be related to both of them.

Ladies and Gentleman raise your glass and toast to one of the finest people I know. She is smart, sassy, oh so sexy and a joy to behold...my sister Diana...the person who reminds me of everything cool. Love you girl and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Shauna in getting dumber.

Guess what Shauna is doing tomorrow! Come on guess....yes that's right. She's getting her wisdom teeth removed.

Yes I am 25 and this is supposedly something that should have happened years ago. Insert one dumb dentist, my lack of a dental plan and YAY here we go. I'll admit to being a bit nervous but this is only because when it comes to the dentist...pain is usually to follow. I don't freeze no matter how many needles they stick me with.

Either way its getting done and to add to the fun I'll be staying with my parents for a couple days so that my Mom can look after me. I don't care how old you are...when you are sick you want your Mommy and you want her NOW! Therefore I'll be bugging Deedee for a few days.

The best stuff is that I get Percocet...that friendly drug that you only hear about on TV shows. This will hopefully make things better.

Other then that all is well. I'm boring!

Wednesday, June 06, 2007

Well talk about being called out!

Alright...I do love my older sister Deedle. She's a gem and she has absolutely no problem calling them like she see's them. How does she see them? Oh you know...grass is green, sky is blue, Emma is perfect and Shauna...where the f$#%k are you?

Good question Dee...I'm glad you asked.

Shauna is currently sitting in her apartment in Oak Bay. Her building is big and filled with older people. They're cute and a little bizarre, but I imagine if I lived through 80 years on this planet I would see things a bit squewy. Yes that's a word. I made it up.

I'm sorry I haven't been around. I could make excuses...work is stressful and busy (which it is), my social life is booming (well that's always been true) or that I'm hunkered down with one fine looking young man and I'm too tired to make it to the computer (now if that was true, well I would make sure I found the time to write). I have been neglectful...my heartfelt apologizes.

Seriously though...lets get to it shall we?

So after one month plus of living on my own I have decided I like it. I love my pink shower curtain, I love washing the dishes when I feel like it and I love sleeping in on weekends. I'm still getting used to the noises my building makes, to not having people around constantly and needing loonies on hand to do laundry. I most certainly miss my old roomies, but I've extended them an open invitation so they can drop by whenever they want (hint! hint!)

I'm sorry I don't have pictures for you. I'll take some tomorrow when there is light in my place. I don't have a digital camera so the crap one on my cell phone will have to do. Should give you the general idea. The place is pretty big, almost too big for one person sometime. Good thing I have friends that like to come over.

To be honest the most pressing thing in my life is work, its been really busy and hectic. And by hectic I mean stressing me out to the point of no sleep. I still love my job, the people and the pay but it felt like I was getting to a point of no return.

That was until today.

I had a day where everything went right, things got done, files got organized and I got back into my swing of things. I even had some people I deal with over the phone all the time in another department head over just to meet me, so that was great. But then as I was watching the minutes count down till the end of the day when I hear that someone else was at the office to see me. I spin around in my chair and there is Emma running towards me. I can tell you right now, no matter how great a day I was having before it was now over the top.

Dee- Your kid was a hit in my office. They thought she was too cute and a co-worker even gave Emma her little stuffed Bashful (he's a dwarf) doll. I was glad everyone got to put a face to the name since I talk about her none stop. Know she's welcome back anytime.

Beyond that not too much to tell. I really need to figure out a way to afford a digital camera in the next couple weeks. I know they're not that expensive but I need to get my laptop fixed (stupid motherboard) and I also need to get some contacts (thank God for a medical plan).

In due time right?

Well thanks all for your patience...all of you. Know I've read about your life adventures, whether they be pregnancies, music festivals, or road trips. So congrats Glenda...I can't wait to be an aunt again...or a semi-aunt. Anne Marie...come visit again...too far away. And Christine please tell Joel how lucky Canada is to have him on my behalf. We can always use more great people in this fine land of ours :)

Oh and Deedee...well I found out about this post from our Nana...so I'm mad at you. You'll just have to wait for it to pass.

....wait for it....

...almost...

Okay I'm over it now. You're lucky I'm so forgiving.

I know. I know

So...it's Shauna. She's alive. She's well. She's boring but she's still updating.

How is everyone doing? I've been reading and keeping up, still ticked at myself for not catching Glenda's purse blog in time and missing the sweet light blue purse. It made me sad.

Beyond all this I have been working lots. I love my job but its starting to seem weird. Shauna=grown up. NO!!!! But I love what I do everyday and the people that I do it with, so if that's grown up then I will take it.

For now I am spending a lot of time looking for a place to live. Yeah, Deedee finally wised up and kicked me out of the house. KIDDING! She would never do that. No I realized its time for me to live on my own. It's exciting and scary but I'm actually pretty sad about it. I like having my sister/best-friend walking distance from me, I love seeing Emma bean everyday...heck I'm even going to miss Chris/Dan and their need to watch "Engineering an Empire'". Still, it's time. Doesn't mean it doesn't suck. So I'm planning on moving May 1. I hope/pray I find the right place whether it be basement suite or apartment. So if you hear anything give me a holla!

Looking into buying a digital camera. I know right, this might mean I update more because I will actually have something to show you. Trust that my life is not that exciting...but I love that you guys want to know anyway.

Quote of the Day: "I'm in love with a STRIPER." - graffitee in the smoking area at work. I think the guys in love with a stripper...but this is only because I have no idea what a "striper" is. I was going to take a picture of it but those maintenance guys are quick and cleaned it off already.

Friday, January 19, 2007

Hey!

How are you all???!!! I'm sorry my blog was brokenish. I have no idea how it happened, but I just went back to a basic layout because the fancy ones give me nothing but trouble.

Anyway I will be spending some time on the computer this weekend so I hope to have some fun things in store for everyone.

But in the mean time...

I SAW BILLY TALENT LAST NIGHT!
It was awesome!

A Quarter of A Century Old.

Well it was that time of year again...that time of year where I get older. My actual birthday (and thank you to those who send out the birthday messages...you are sweet) was a blast. I just chilled with Dan, Chris, Dee, Glenda and Nathan for most of the night. I had a great time playing Cranium and laughing at everyone's antics.
And since my B-day is on such a momentous occasion as it is I thought it would be a good idea to try and move the celebration to a different day. I have learned that this is an excellent idea.
Pretty much everyone turned up...even Glenda and Dee let their freak flags fly. I had a blast, of what I can remember, and I owe it all to some of the faces you'll see below. Sorry I'm in so many pictures, but I didn't take these. There were some more that I wanted to share but they wouldn't upload to blogger for some reason.
Anyway I hope 2007 is treating you well!
Just some of the things that made my night complete.
A Blue Hawaiian, my cell phone and my tiara.

This is my girl Lynsey and I have to say I love this picture of us. Very candid/drunk/exactly what we are like when we are sober picture.

Me and Abbie, I have known her since I was 11 years old. You do the math. Scary.

Me and Deanna shaking up the dance floor. She works at the bar we went to, so set it up for my peeps to get in free and a VIP area to sit. Not to mention the Happy Birthday Tiara and martigra beads. She spoiled this girl.

My friend Chris is to the right and some friends of his to the left. What is with my hair?

My bud Aaron and his not girlfriend Deedee. I have no idea when this moment happened in the night, but I'm glad it was caught on camera. Good thing Natalie (his actual g-f) is so trusting ;)

Ian and Rob.
Ian who was nice enough to be my DD and get me home safe.
Rob was well...Rob.

This is a horrible picture of me but LOOK its Glenda and Dee. They came out and partied with me....and did it better then anyone else I might add.

Abbie, Me and Deanna. This was near the end of the night and I don't remember this picture being taken. But to be honest there isn't too much I remember.
OHHH! And for those who were wondering...I hit the hay at 4am...but drank 2 bottles of water first. Woke up 8 hours later a little drained but no worse for wear...and trust when I say I was drinking like a fish. Here's hoping this new drinking super power lasts.

Yes...finally its me!

So did you have a wonderful Christmas? I had hoped it would snow, even after all the crap we put up with a few weeks back I still want a white Christmas one year.

I got spoiled, which is insane. But I have to say the best part of Christmas was watching little Emma Yam open up her presents. She was so into it this year, even taking the time to help everyone else open up their wrapped gifts. Then she's look at what it was and then let out a long "Ohhhhhhh!" Yeah I love my neice.

Not too much else to report. Work has been going great. It's stressful and busy but I love my job. Love it. I have my own desk now, which makes me feel damn grown up. Got my hair cut and highlighted a few weeks back, you can see a picture of it up on Dee's blog. Yeah I look hot, and I'm not afraid to admit it.

Tomorrow...well it's New Years Eve and its also my birthday. The big 25. CRAZY! 25 was the age in highschool when I had planned to have everything accomplished. I used to say things like "I want to be married and have my first kid at 25." Oh 17-year-old Shauna, so young, so naive. And insane! Here's hoping that being 25 was just as good as being 24.

I plan on spending the night at home tomorrow with Deedee, Chris, Glenda, Nathan, Dan(?) and my bud Rob. It'll be nice to just hang and have a laid back birthday for a change. People thing being born on New Years is usually good times. How wrong they are, but I have a feeling this year will be great. Plus I'm going to the bar next weekend to celebrate with all my friends. If you want to come, well you should.

So here's to a safe and happy New Years! May 2007 truely rock!

My New Years Resolution: Update my blog more for you guys, and thanks for being so patient with me....I promise to be better!
Remember when I told you guys I had to make a Snow Globe for work? Well I did and my buddy Ian helped me. He's Mr. Fix-It and does stained glass as a hobby. And when I say Ian helped me I mean made it so it worked. His step-dad even cut out the base for it. I came out big time in the office...as it was declared the cutest snow globe. It was also labeled "The Man-Globe" once the ladies at work found out a boy helped me. Still I loves it. The figurine inside is a ceramic one I got year back and lots of silver glitter.
Look at all the sparkles!

This is the type of MP3 player I got for Christmas. As the rider of the "loser cruiser" aka BC Transit it's a wonderful way to pass the time. I have wanted one forever so when Santa brought me one I was blown away. 2GB And it's purple...moi's favourite colour. YES! So yeah, if you can think of any songs that are a must let me know, because it holds so much music I don't know what to do with myself.

The pictures of the babies I have up at my desk at work. That way if my day is going shitty I look over and see Emma, Ethan, Riley and Jacob. Best way to perk up the day.

<---That's actually something a co-worker did to my computer while I was away in Squamish a few weeks back. You know you are in with the work crew when they spend time defacing your office equipment.
HAVE A GOOD ONE!

Hanging my head in Shame.

Well its been a long time. A very very long time. Sorry about that. I've been pretty busy, that and I'd forgotten all about my blog. Sure I checked everyone else's but never thought of my own. Plus I don't have a digital camera, so I can't have pictures on my blog, which I think are the best part.

As for me I am doing very well. I have a new job that I started last week, as a payroll clerk for VIHA. The job is great, the people are great and the pay is AMAZING! I consider this my first adult job, because I can see this being my career. I got hired as a casual so there was some worry for me when I took the job that I wouldn't get enough work to survive. But since I started I've been working full time and my manager just told me on Wednesday that I'll be guaranteed 4 days a week for the next 2 months. However my co-workers are convinced I'll still be working full time since they are pretty short staffed. Either way...that is great. Hopefully this means I can get out of the debt I have and work on getting a car. I want a car again. Badly.

Still doing my recap at GMMR, which seems to be going well. Sometimes I get a lot of comments (which are gold when you post on a blog, which you all know) and sometimes I don't. However it's getting easier and easier to write one, a put a little spice of myself in it. Plus no one has commented that they want to kill me, which is nice.

Christmas is right around the corner. How the hell did that happen? Seriously. Now my brain is all fuzzy with the presents I have to buy and what not. Plus my office mates and I have to make our own snow globes and take them into work as a Christmas project. I have to make a snow globe? Crafty ladies...I'm going to need your help with that one. I've looked up the "how to" online, now its about making it rock. I think whoever has the best wins a prize or something.

Beyond that everything is the same, but still changing at a rapid pace. I realized today that my 25th birthday is approaching at an alarming rate. Can you believe that? Wasn't I just 18? Here's hoping my 25th year will be just as charming as this one was.

Anyway I should hit the hay as my weekend has been jam packed with things to do and Sunday is another day. I wish Victoria's snow fall tonight had stuck. Would have been a good excuse to get out doing anything tomorrow.

And for your viewing pleasure I'm giving you a link to another cool website I found randomly on my world wide web travels: http://www.picturesofwalls.com/

Also you might note the new blog layout. I finally found one that's actually pretty and doesn't mess up my blog. I owe Deedle for that one, since I got my layout from the same place she got hers. I need to fix up some things, like my links to all your blogs and whatnot. I'm betting I'll have some time for that tomorrow.

Okay enough of me.

Emma at Science World

Sorry I haven't updated in forever. There has been a lot going on and I just can't share some of it in a public forum. However, I love you all and I thought I would share this wonderful video of my fantastic neice Emma at Science World. Her Mommy sent it to me...I hope you don't mind I posted it.

PS. I was wrong. There IS sound!
